Description

Portuguese/Brazilian Colonial Rosewood Center Table with a single board top with a carved gadrooned edge over a frieze containing four drawers and four false drawers on the reverse. All with beautifully carved details. Boldly turned legs and barley twist stretchers. Brass details overall and on the leg joinery. Provenance; Sidney Winslow Ex Chairman of The United Shoe Machinery Company. Beverly Mass. His home in Beverly is now part of Shore Country Day School where the table once resided.
