Each with original metal Waldorf Astoria labels and marble tops. Silvery beige breakfront form marble tops over a conforming laurel leaf carved frieze raised on circular tapered stop fluted legs. These were placed in the Towers part of the hotel. Very similar example illustrated in ” Jansen” by James Abbott, page 177. When built as the largest hotel in the world the founders selected the very finest designers in the world such as Maison Jansen and White Allom & Co. Charles Allom was knighted for his work on Buckingham Palace. His New York projects included the Henry Clay Frick House now the Frick Collection.
