Description
George II Giltwood Mirror in the Manner of William Kent with perfectly burnished surface with wonderful gilt accents with broken arch pediment with central cartouche over a mirror plate set in a conforming frame with bead and reel and acanthus with low relief decoration. The base section with an outline where once candle arms were mounted. In the 18th century mirrors were used to great extent to reflect and amplify light. The gilding is excellent on this piece.
