Mr. Neligan began his career some 35 years ago in New York City where he held positions with John Fleming Inc. Provence Antiques, and Christie’s where he refined his skills. At Christie’s, he developed a discerning eye for original 17th and 18th century pieces. Later, Mr. Neligan was sought by Skinner Inc. Auctioneers to develop the Oriental Works of Art and Fine Silver Departments. He also held the position of Director of English and Continental Furniture for Skinner. Mr. Neligan is also a licensed and bonded auctioneer on top of having a famously encyclopedic knowledge of antiques and the trade.
